This week is your last chance to see our current window exhibition ” Stars Are Braw at The Red Door “. We have worked with the tallented Jon Bishop – the man behind the Stars Are Braw collection to produce this display, and while we are delighted with the results, we hope you are too 🙂
The window features new illustrations inspired by the idea of Star Wars in Scottish, one of our favourites is “The Empire Biscuit” a real tea time treat 🙂 The shortbread biscuit delight, is a Scottish favourite, below are “The Kandy Bar”‘s award winning versions.
We are also proud to introduce new pins and patches, featuring those popular “Lads, Lads Lads” stormtroopers. This is the time to add to your pins and patch collection!
And introducing the “Hunk O Junk” design! Available in patch, pin and print! The patches are iron on, by the way, so you don’t need to be a sewing expert to give your denim that extra something special.
Star Wars fans will surely remember the scene in “A New Hope” when Luke Skywalker lays eyes on the Millennium Falcon for the first time and says: “What a piece of junk!”, Han Solo replies: “She’ll make point five past lightspeed. She may not look like much, but she’s got it where it counts, kid”. Perhaps a Scottish Skywalker would have called it a “hunk o’ junk”?
A personal favourite has to be from The Empire Strikes Back, when The Millennium Falcon is under siege from the Empire, the engine won’t start, Princess Leia offers to get out and push… chortle 😉
Pop by before March 4 if you can to see the window display. If not, head on over to The Grey Earl’s page in our online shop where you can view the whole range, all the mates in space, including this very special movie poster which sees the series expand to a larger format! 🙂
