Here Be Monsteras

Here Be Monsteras, aka Skio Pottery, is run by ceramicist Kayti Peschke from her home studio on The Isle of Skye. In the studio there are lots of cups of tea, puppies hanging out in the sunshine, and plenty of audiobooks or podcasts on the speakers!

She throws on the wheel using a selection of stoneware clays, all with a lovely speckle and wonderfully tactile texture.

Brushstrokes form her decorative style using a mix of glazes, hand coloured clay and wax resist techniques. She also screen prints her pots using unique hand cut designs and each collection is created using a specially curated colour palette.

All the pieces Kayti creates, are made to be practical and often multi functional. It is very important to her that they are used and enjoyed and bring a little bit of extra joy to your day!
