Machair Flowers A4 Print
£ 24.00
Cyanotype is an old photographic printing process whereby images are exposed in sunlight and processed in water to produce beautiful blue cyan coloured prints. It was developed in the 1800’s and often used for architectural drawings and is where the term ‘blueprint’ comes from!
This print is made using a variety of machair flowers, the piece of land that stretches from Angela’s parents-in-law’s house to the sea on the Isle of Lewis, featuring buttercups, bog cotton and many more.
