Print and Pattern

Jul 31, 2016 | Blog

printpatternblogThe City is awash with colour as everyone prepares for the launch of the festival next week. Poster everywhere building the excitement for the festival shows and all the colourful performers arriving as we speak.

It’s inspired this weekends blog theme of Print and Pattern. We love colour and the crazier the pattern, the better we say. We’re lucky to be surrounded by an abundance of it from artists from all over Scotland and beyondolliepops, notebooks, weavers, screenprinters, artists, design, school notebooks

Let us introduce Oli 🙂

If you’re as big a fan as us then maybe the following artists might just spark your interest. From print to knitwear and everything in between, we have something for all budgets and tastes.

Let us start with one of our own, The lovely Gillian and her trusty pup Oli have created a great range of notebooks based around her super textile skills. These notebooks are perfect for the weaver or screen printer and have a range of papers perfect for your chosen discipline. They are also pretty cool if you just love beautiful papers and notebooks too.

It might seem a little crazy to be including knitwear in the middle of summer, but it is Scotland and we like to keep our scarves within arms reach. Even more so when they are as bright and colourful as these Wee Beauties. Perfectly named and hand made here in our fair city of Edinburgh.
