One of the staff favourites for investing in, is the wonderful work of Italian born and local artist Patrizio Belcampo. He installed his beautiful window just over a week to go, with a blog to follow shortly on his new work. His limited edition screen prints of the Avian Alphabet are beautiful examples of a master screen printer at work. Jackdaw is one of our all time favourites from this collection.
Keeping with the animal theme, fellow Edinburgh based master Screen Printer Susie Wright has an extensive collection of limited edition pieces of the stunning views around Edinburgh, beatiful wild animals and flora and fauna.
One of her most coveted screen prints is this Limited Edition Mineral Stag. Featuring over 14 different layers, this amazing piece is a real conversation starter and expertly shows off Susie’s skills as a screen printer. An exhibition is in the pipeline for Summer next year. Watch this space!

Catherine A. Hileys work has been a popular collection this month, based on 17th-Century reports of “mermaid” sightings on Orkney, and their connection to the myths of the Finfolk and Selkies.
Selkies are creatures of Scottish/Irish mythology, also known as the Seal People. They can discard their sealskins and walk as humans on land, and there are many, many songs and stories to be heard and yet more to be invented. These form much of the theme throughout Catherine’s collection of Screen Prints and Lithographs.
Jake Bee was the artist in residence at Fettes College in Edinburgh. We have a range of his limited edition Archival Pigment Prints based on his original paintings from his Enclosure Exhibition. These paintings take reference from a box of slides that were discovered by chance in Edinburgh. The slides are based on a tour that a group of Geologists took together in Eastern Europe and Africa in the 1960s. These are interesting compositions as the photographer was focused on the landscape forms, not the people, beauty or any conventional ways or reasons for taking these photos which draws the viewer in to question what is exactly happening within these scenes. A beautiful range of work.
