#EdinburghFestival draws to a close today, but we have one huge fireworks display left to look forward to, tonight at 9.30pm and it looks like there are some tickets left here for Princess Street Gardens. So get your chairs, picknick blankets, brolly’s and radio’s at the ready!
It’s a world reknown display, which anticipates an audience of over a quarter of a million viewers! It’s no wonder Susie Wright was inspired to create this above screen print, celebrating the occasion.
The display is an a epic 45 minute pyrotechnic delight over Edinburgh Castle and it is carefully choreographed to music. This year’s theme is “Dance” so we are pretty excited to see how the theme is interpreted by Pyrovision, who have produced the displays for many years.
For those of you not heading into Princes Street (Above), there are many other excellent vantage points to see the display from including Calton Hill, Blackford Hill, The Bridges and Craiglockhart hill:

For those of you out in groups and feeling fit, there is also our favourite, Aruthur’s Seat for you to take a wonder up, though maybe less appealing if the wind picks up tonight!
It is true that the further you are from the castle, the less of the detail you pick up on, the famous waterfall cascade for example is not visable from a distance so here’s a quick snapshot for ya.
