The latter half of this week has been great to get some DIY done with the grey clouds looming overhead. It’s prefect timing that Alice Melvin‘s new collection of DIY goodies for Tate have arrived at the gallery.
A fun collection to get children sewing or if like us you’re a big kid at heart then it’s also the perfect collection to refine your stitching skills! Each kit comes with fabric featuring Alice Melvin’s beautiful illustrations.
With three kit’s to choose from there’s something for everyone. We’re particularly fond of the bunting; if only we could fit into the child size apron…………It’s pretty special!
If DIY collage is more your thing then these collage kits from Anthony Zinonos are perfect. They come in two sizes and are a fantastic random selection of collage fun. Raffle Tickets, old photographs to vintage wallpaper and old luggage tags; they’re a fun collection great for sketch books or make your very own collage to frame.
Our little red door shoppers are big fans of Clockwork Soldier’s collection of all things DIY.
Their Dino and Pet Puppets have to be the firm favourite and are great fun for your little ones. Each set contains fun dino facts, jokes and puzzles.
Another for you DIY fans is the arrival of Harris The Edinburgh Fox. He’s just arrived from Kate McLelland of Finch and Robin. If you live in the city then I’m sure you’ll have come across lots of urban foxes in the area. Our Red Door customers are big fans of all things foxy so we’re sure this little guy is going to go down a treat.
To finish off this weeks #fridayfavourites is another one of our foxy friends. This time in beautiful screen printed form! We’re thrilled that Mina Braun has stopped by with more of her Happy Foxes before she heads off to pastures new in Berlin.
We’re so pleased that Mina will continue to stock us with her beautiful screen prints and look forward to seeing her new work in the future. We wish her well!
It’s a Happy Friday from us and this happy chappy above!
