I am proud to present a new and magnificent sculpture by Red Door favourite Seymour. This equistite piece is currently being exhibited as part of a show entitled ‘The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ at the Strychnin Gallery in Berlin. As Seymour explains on his website –
‘The gallery space is set up like the set from a warped Alice in wonderland movie with a huge crooked table displaying ceramics and sculptures of all kinds.! Not your typical art show.’
The sculpture is made from clays and various castings, imaginatively combined with found objects. I am particularly fond of the pink flamingo.
I strongly recommend that if you are in the German capital before the 31st February, you factor a trip to the Strychnin into your visit. The Seymour sculpture are even more impressive when viewed in person. Hmmm… is it too late to organise a Red Door field trip..?
