Joel Millerchip

Joel Millerchip is an illustrator whose monochromatic prints have adorned the walls of The Red Door intermittently over the last 7 years. He describes himself as a creator of visual stories, and you can tell just by looking at his prints, that he loves curly haired characters, phenomenal beards and anything that adds a sense of distortion to a scene. Joel takes real life experiences as his starting point, though he allows his memory to warp the tales, as perhaps we all do. Joel is strongly influenced by mythology too, so those in the know will find some interesting points of reference through his collection.
Joel graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a BA Hons in Illustration back in 2005, since which time he has produced works for an enviable list of folks, which includes Timberland, the mighty Mini Cooper and The Houses of Parliament!
